K9 Eevee was adopter at 8 months old, after being posted for free on Facebook. She showed promise for SAR work and proved she had what it took, taking off like a rocket to find her first hidden person at a RICSAR training in August 2024.

With the support of RICSAR’s experienced handlers, Eevee began to learn short runaways/hides and quickly progressed to longer distances. In April 2025 at 2.5 years old, Eevee achieved her first 40 acre wilderness live find certification with the Rhode Island State Police.

When not working, Eevee loves going for long walks in the woods, playing fetch with squeaky tennis balls at the lake and sunbathing in her favorite chair by the window.
